Kevin, <but I'm keeping my expectations low.> I obviously
don't disagree. Especially in front of info from the same
pricewatch where six vendors are selling P-II-400, for
around $1000 bucks each.

Or trying to sell? The number of people who are willing
to pay 100% more for a system that performs better by
only 15% must be small. Especially if they keep in mind
that after 2-3 months they can easily save $400-$500
after the next unavoidable price reduction...

What I see here is an attempt to sustain their ASP
in order to subsidize Cele-wrongs and Covingtons.
I have some doubts that it will work this time because
of the above - the pace they set is so high that people
are reasonably delaying their buying decisions.

As we know, it needs for Intel's ASP to drop just $100
down for all profits to be gone.

Take care,

Ali
