Is it just me or is 20 a big hurdle for NSCP? I am seriously considering taking the measly 5/8 point I've got right now.

>>>I am coming around to the conclusion that this is one stodgy, apple computer like company. and the reasons for their failings have a lot less to do with antitrust issues than many, including myself want to acknowledge.<<<

I agree they are having trouble coming up with a second good idea.

However, what will have killed them if they die is the MS bundling of Internet Explorer into Windows, and the giveaway of MS Internet Server, combined with the Microsoft attack on non-MS internet software standards like Java and NSAPI plugins and so on. Thus wiping out Netscape's Internet software dominance, and their revenue stream. This is pretty easy when your wallet has maybe 500 times Netscapes annual earnings in it, as BG's wallet does.

It's too easy to say they failed because they didn't observe that they should have run away to some other business because MSFT was after them. Isn't it?

Cheers,
Chaz
