Why Other Chap, how nice of you to visit? May your visit be short-lived. You've come back to try and "separate money from suckers" (your words) once again. Other Chap, go away! Will people using the internet who are connected to cable television be limited to the 28.8 modem? Other Chap, go away. Moore's Law should tell us that the speed of our computers doubles every 18 months. Other Chap, go away! And of course you don't know about the R&D on developing a lightchip which will solve data storage problems. Other Chap, go away! Indeed, there are lots companies solving the bandwidth problem. That's why there are companies like DSPG and Picturetel, among others. Other Chap, go away! Don't you watch CNBC? Haven't you seen television commercial showing a bunch of folks digging an interactive MTV-like video. Other Chap, go away! My friend has a laptop and has shown me perfectly fine video quality, which I've seen with my own eyes. Other Chap, go away! And take your 10 percent downer with you.

Online July 25 launched a five-day Web advertising test that will measure response to banners with or without video on its "Batman & Robin" Web site. Warner Bros. will rotate the same basic banner--one with video and one without--on the site to measure click-through response. Jim Moloshok, senior VP of Warner Bros. Online, says he will have quantitative results to release this week. "We hope to triple or quadruple our response, but it could just stay the same," he said. V-Banner is based on InterVU's All Eyes feature, a proprietary software that provides high-quality delivery of video and multimedia over the Web.
