I thought the article was OK. I do agree that there is a legitimate place for shortsellers, and certainly critics of a company. What pink, Dan Loeb and crew have done to ACRT is beyond all reasonableness, as well as way beyond SEC regulations. I believe the SEC will eventually charge them with manipulation, and I believe ACRT will sue them for all they are worth.
I believe Mr Aharoni was very restrained in his comments concerning the attack on his company by shortsellers. He was being quoted in the Wall Street Journal, after all.
Mr Aharoni has a way of speaking that sometimes seems offhand or nonchalant. English is not his first language, nor is the fine points of American dialect something he is intimate with. If you want to know how Mr Aharoni really feels, do a little calculations. He owns over 30% of ACRT. It has gone down 17 dollars a share in 4 months. Put your self in his place.
I do know he sees all of this as a temporary situation in the growth of the business. He is a bit of a visionary when it his business. He's always looking down the road 6 months, a year, 5 years.
As far as he's concerned, this month is right on course, with a temporary distraction. 6 months from now, it won't matter in the least.
I hope this helps. Dave
