DCF,
That is a trick question of sorts. Since I dont believe that Gods love is limited to Christians, or Jews, I dont think his word is limited to the Bible. Just as fervent believers of the Koran or Buddhism would not find God's word in the Bible, neither do I. I think God speaks to all of us through our souls. You just have to listen.

Not your "opinion", not your "compassionate physical thinking", use the Word..

You know, you guys really DO remind me of Early Christians. Persecuting the Jews (oh YES they did) and engaging in endless absurd battles over heresy. Wanna talk about the Nestorians (a few may even still be around, though I should think only in the Orient)? The REAL Aryans? The Albigensians? The Manichiaens? And, going back again to the beginning, the Gnostics, who were really extremely interesting.

I say absurd, but of course this stuff isn't. The insistence on rooting out all heresy had its basis in the perceived need to make Christianity THE religion. Hegemonistic, no? This ain't the Word Revealed, it's the Word Imposed, and not by God.
