Ahhhh, Y2K. Seems like the only reason I am alive and employed anymore....a completely paralyzing problem.

In short, even though Y2K issues are making it to the press, it is not getting half the attention it deserves. You talk about problems.... I am by no means a catastrophicist (sp?) but I am expecting the worst. Early predictions are that 50% of companies will experience problems, and 10-15% will cease to exist because of those problems. These are no more than guesses.

Bodes well for CPQ for migration of old PCs to a name that people trust. Have spoken to many, many friends in IT and most of them have significant budgets for PC replacement in 99. As for the PCs I purchase, I don't want to say. Nasty 4 letter word that rhymes with Hell.

In most cases, software is where renovation will need to take place. Most hardware manufacturers don't have major date oriented problems.
