Charles: Are you the guy that "unhappily" sold in the high 30s? Wise move. Why did you sell then? What was the motivation that I missed?

Charles we were on the same track regarding selling ADPT earlier in low 30's/high 40's. I didn't like it when we cut through a huge volume of support @ 38 that sent us to 44 then failed to hold @ 38 again - the big money was spent. I had a GTC in for 32 1/2 the morning we opened around 24 (which I was able to cancel pre-open). So yes, I remember those days. As we've discussed here previously, I never liked the huge constant insider selling @ ADPT, & almost always at peaks (although I admire their timing!). Seems to me they were always expecting something like this by their selling. (Disclaimer: Yes I think it's fine to cash in some of your compensation)

Also someone mentioned layoff charges. I'd expect layoffs to eliminate duplication and increase efficiency, and as far as I've seen, layoffs are rewarded by the street both short and long term. You certainly could be right about the synergy of keeping the fab. I just hope there are a few pieces of something to sell for some quick cash. Since I've always been the main fan of ADPT's CDRW/DVDRW huge growth potential, is there any possibility that what they're buying from Analog Devices can in some way be involved with reading or writing CDs/DVDs? Would appreciate comments from those who understand the technology they're acquiring.

thanks in advance,
Tom
