With the Year 2000 coming up fast, IT managers at Fortune 500 companies are going to spend their budgets on Y2K. There will not be any money left over to upgrade the computer hardware. Sorry DELL, but corporate spending won't be there to support your lofty stock price!

If you take a look at the earning statements,
you'll see that COMPAQ earns as much in one quarter
as Dell makes in TWO quarters. Yet Dell is right now
valued what TWENTY PER CENT higher than COMPAQ. Even
a weak COMPAQ quarter blows away Dell's best quarter.
