Eddie,
I believe all CPQxx options are for 100 shares.
The other poster's options are LEAPS calls. I also
believe the VKPxx and LKPxx LEAPS are for 100 shares whereas
the un-converted VKZxx and LKZxx options are for 250
shares. Can someone confirm/refute this?

Eddie; I'm not a broker and it's good you asked yours, and I
feel sure if he told you that it's right..
very likely any you see with the standard strike prices
25 , 27.5 , 30, 32.5 , 35 like that are 1 for 1 or 100 to a contract
-----------
but the numbers like 26 27 28 29 31 32 33 34 36 note I skiped
( 30 and 35 ) as they are standard..well them others likley
are from the pre split and have a multiplier in them..
check with your broker if in any doubt..I didn't untill
after and was shocked to find my ticket ( history file showed
the right number of contrats I ordered ..the right price,,
but the amount of money to be setteled on was much larger,
so at first I thought it was a computer glich..no glith..
thats the way they work..dhaa..why didn't you call us first <G>
As it is I came out smelling like a rose..but my had they moved
against me I would have been in a jam.
Jim

Options split like stock if the split is 2-1, 3-1, etc. But CPQ
had a 5-2 split last July. Options don't split on 3-2, 5-2, etc.
stock splits. So two contracts for pre-July shares control 500
shares of post-July stock--250 shares per contract. Those options
would have split 2-1 in January along with the stock. So if you
bought 1 Leap last July before the split, you would now have two
Leaps, controlling 500 shares total.

Most of the other pre-July contracts should be history by now, but
if you go to tradepbs.com and put in CPQ
and click "options" you will see there are some TWM series options
still listed for April--without bid/ask or open interest numbers,
though. I haven't investigated to determine whether you can create
new positions in those contracts, however.

Hope this helps.

Paul
