Mark, you are missing the important words, "for example". Stops on FTEL should have been set at the time of purchase, whenever that was, and at whatever price you thought was appropriate. I think for one buying @ $ 3.06 a $ 2.00b to $ 2.50b stop would be appropriate.

Fundamentally I don't like FTEL, but evey stock has its price. To me, FTEL's decent price is in the twos or just on the very bottom edge of $3.00. I strongly believe in this company's public relations powe,r so buying in that range could prove OK. Even RACE is basing nicely in the twos.

The use of a stop is "insurance money". Sometimes it pays to use it, and sometimes it doesn't. However, for that catostrophic situation, INSURANCE (stops) is a must. Also, the larger the possible loss likely, if I use a stop, the less money I might risk on that investment.

I suggested that FTEL wouldn't stay under $3.00 per share a few days ago. I post the following for your review:

<<The fact that FTEL went under $ 3.00 is not surprising [based on mm activities and shares]. If it stays there, that will be (even for me).

FTEL: $2.97b $ 3.06a (just went up)>>

I'm not reading most of the posts on this thread anymore. If you have a sincere question, start it out kindly, or I will probably pass over it.

FTEL: $ 3.25b $ 3.34a
