You do not understand the J-Curve.
(1) Products are initially cheap.
(2) Capital costs greatly increase.
(3) Korea is now out of the Dram game.

Kit,

As a relatively recent bear, I believe you are overlooking a crucial factor in favor of the Asian fabs: the immense price advantages they have thanks to the devaluation of their currency

As a relatively recent bear I must admit you are making the largest and most prevalent mistake among "the forever bears" and that is reading and research.<g> I only wrote it four days ago:

...so...since you agree with me that the currency factor is a significant problem(but I believe shortterm), then maybe when you do some research you might find that most of SEA is in a catch-up mode with MU and without funds to upgrade will continue to fall further behind. Now all they can do is dump existing technology chips at a loss to raise cash, but then will fall flat on their face. That is when I believe MU will start to make the big bucks.
