That is an interesting observation; one that certainly makes sense. However, the circumstances of his joining WAVX need to be considered. There are 4 scenarios as I see it:

1) He was laid off or downsized and HR sloffed him off to a development partner to find him work.
2) He was fired
3) He genuinely resigned to pursue a great opportunity
4) IBM is planting a seed

I hope it isn't Scenario 2. Scenario 1 and 3 are palatable, as
long as the partnership doesn't suffer.

I sincerely hope its Scenario 4, just for the relationship. However, I don't want WAVX to be bought out and I'm sure the Spragues don't want that either. I'm faithful that at that time, appropriate measures would be taken to prevent such a takeover (ie poison pill)

Thoughts?
