Jimmy,

As you may have noticed, I'm following this company since --actually before-- it was publicly launched on the Nasdaq on an awful day of July 1996...
You want to talk about former CEO/founder Atwood? Fine! Just head for Cinebase's website:
cinebase.com

Then click on their employment opportunities link and you'll see that almost all of the IT people they are looking for are required to own some knowledge of ObjectStore, ODIS' flagship product.
Actually, all the initial management team has been removed prior to the IPO but it didn't prevent ODIS to stay on the right track.
Current CEO Bob Goldman has an outstanding experience in the database industry (>25 years) and he managed to get ODIS partnering with MSFT, NSCP, Symantec, Sun Microsystems, etc.
IBM Corp. is still a 12% shareholder of ODIS.
ORCL offered to buy them out in 1995 for about $150M.
Lately, ODIS used to preannounce any disappointing financial results and it did so about 3 weeks prior to the release of the so-called unaudited quarterly data. '98Q1 ends next Tuesday (03/31/98) and ODIS will likely released its Q1 financial data on April 17 (approx.)
Finally, I strongly advise you to do some homework on the ODBMS industry, ie Object-oriented Databases.

Regards,

Gustave.
