Oh, give me a break about spoiling the movie. Do you think they would have a love story in which both lovers survive the sinking? That would have been even worse than the actual script. Especially when one is a male in third class. In the words of Sharon Stone as Catherine Trammell on dramatic structure, "Someone has to die. Why? Someone always does."

Those patriarchal pigs. Women and children first. How oppressive!
