Not to insist, but Dear Arianna is Anathema in Art Historical circles. Nasty, nasty little plagiarist. After the dreadful flap, she decided to leave England. She's always been well-connected, so she plotted her moves upon arrival in the States. She asked for introductions to well-known and important American women (Ann Getty was one). The idea here was that if you ask for introductions to women, you disarm them, and they'll then introduce you to men. (This is actually quite an intelligent notion; just don't quite know how to put it into practice.) It in fact worked. Getty introduced her to Huff. A step up on the ladder, nothing permanent, of course.
