Sometimes MSFT buys, sometimes it deploys thousands of top notch and highly paid code writers to build from the ground up. Did MSFT buy Netscape to get a browser?

I don't think MSFT would buy an Israel-based company. All of their software development is in Seattle, except for a small team they just put together in India. Also I think CHKPF is a little expensive for them, and I don't think firewall software fits into their strategy.

I think CHKPF should stay independent ... any merger would probably stymie their growth.
