I have been following this thread for the past 1.5 year. To me, only
BB predicted amat's SHORT term trading range right ONCE, when he shot
the fish in the barrel at 27 area. PV came close twice. Recently, BB
primed his gun again at 32-33 area and I don't believe he shot,
therefore he didn't score. Long term amat is going to be a huge
winner. I doubt anybody has much a CLUE as where amat is going in the
next two weeks. Amat, sucker's rally, adbe sucker's rally, intc sucker
rally. Next thing we know, Tito, sucker's rally.
For the longs, GM, Lester, BK, PV and myself, there are going to be
more sucker's rally yet.

I looked at my watch list(mainly tech), saw some +'s, some -'s and AMAT up 1. I cannot remember the last time AMAT had such a strong day relative to the rest of the techs. Can anyone else?

Addi,

Well said.
It is just a matter of your timeframe, isn't it?

AMAT, INTC, MSFT, CSCO are all dominant companies in their
industry segment and have the R&D,CASH, and vision to come out of
each of the down turns stronger and with greater market share.

Thanks for you very well-thought of post, i agree with you that
something fundamental has changed..

I think I will be going for CSCO next.

Take care

Addi,
I agree with many of your points, I think they are valid concerning
longer term "event horizons", no argument there. Shorter term (3-6 months), however, is a different story IMO. I have never seen a
market completely disregard stock fundamentals for very long without
having reality finally take hold and bring stocks/markets back to
"fair value". I don't consider the markets fairly valued at this
point. They are currently "momentum driven" entities and like an
over pressurized cooker will need to vent off some steam to relieve
some of the pressure. I suspect the Fed will act as the pressure
relief valve soon. Too much, too fast, too soon, IMO.

Good investing to all,
BB
