General Stuff........
Been reading some of the posts on the Yahoo, AOL, Motley and SI boards and I'm amused at the increased level of rhetoric coming from those that don't like the company, not to forget Herb, that must have been the 84thor 5th time he has written, warning the general investing public about the evils of IOM as if to ensure that he is believable. I think 50 times should have given enough credence to his words ; ).

I'm not as concerned about the company with K.E. gone as I was
with him staying and maintaining his general marketing position. IOM is finally going to go after the market with pricing and for those that haven't seen the contents of the ATAPI drives I can tell you that IMO they can sell these in the 35 to 45 dollar range and still make money.
The fundamentals that drove Zip to the position of dominance in the storage arena is still as valid today as ever.

We need and require removable media to safeguard our data.
The media must be large enough to hold our files and it must be universal enough to take from computer to computer while being small enough with durability to be able to put it in a pocket. Zip is the market in this regard.

It was a disregard of the marketplace with an air of arrogance and attitude that posed the greatest threat to IOM

With the apparent introduction of new competition I feel gratified that the board has the vision to make changes while there's still time to act. Zip is still # 1 and should be ready to do battle when or if newcomers show up.
