Bob,

I agree with you. But remember, all the company needs to do is sell the product to consumers... it could care less how often they end up playing it. Which is why developers spend all this time making the game pretty as opposed to putting in good gameplay. You can't really describe gameplay on the box, but you *can* show them that your first person shooter has cooler graphics than the other box next to it.
