totally disagree...although do think the news is creating a numb
society..also think that people like to shoot the messenger when
the messenger presents news that threatens the news recipient and
sense of wellbeing..

It did happen almost 5 years ago... about 75 miles from Jonesboro, in West Memphis, Ark. Different circumstances, 3 seven year old boys were murdered, raped and mutilated. 3 teenage boys were convicted of the crime. I'll agree with you that the media will sensationalize a story to death, but I'll tell you that, at least here, there is a strong feeling of horror this happened.
