I'm not so sure that this is the ground shaken type of news I was expecting.

Good luck to all today,

Dear Jeff: I dont like the sound of this lawsuit? Any background info you are aware of? These things drag on for years and possibly might hurt our moonshot? JDN

Re: Charlotte Observor article on Gem lawsuit is not accurate

This information comes directly from CEO Bob Gruder. Disclaimer: these are my words, with my own commentary, and I have purposely not quoted him for legal reasons-- but I have tried to be as faithful as I can to the message.

Anyone can file a lawsuit for as much money as they want here in America, whether entitled in any way to get it or not. The Charlotte Observor reporter simply cut and pasted what was filed in court documents.

Now, the facts...
In this particular case, Bob says the most he is liable for is $58,000. Not only that, he has indemnified ALYD from any judgement. In other words, if Bob loses, he is personally liable for the money. ALYD has contacted the Observor and expressed their concern to set the record straight.

=====

Why ALYD was not asked to comment in the first place is beyond me. Without public forums such as these who know what kind of unnecessary panic might have ensued over this. Why, Tech Master might have been forced to spend some more loose change (gg).

And from another reliable source... I got a cryptic "today should rock and roll". So, rather than gloom and doom, I've got my fingers crossed for something on the very positive side to happen. Should be an interesting day!
