Isaac,

I have a few connections to PSIX and put some info on them in the below link. You're right, the tape is very compelling. As Jim did, I had my finger on the trigger yesterday but decided the risks are almost as compelling as the reward. Even though it looks good on the chart I'm looking elsewhere. I've made a few additional calls and the word here in the DC area from several people I've talked to is that PSIX mgmt is very poor over many years. I hope this is a buyout in progress but if it's not then look out below.

At one point PSIX was actually much bigger than UUNET in the DC area. UUNET had good management and killed PSI in the market, then everyone made a fortune when they sold to MFS which sold to WorldCom. PSI has made a mess of everything they've tried over the last five years.

But boy that chart looks good. If you want to play for a buyout it's probably not a bad idea either.

PSIX...

Isaac:

Sometimes a stock gets beaten down for various reasons... Usually Fundamentals related... When things start turning around in the company, insiders, their relatives, friends, and other people start buying... This causes the technical picture to improve (Charts) while the Fundamentals still reflect the prior poor numbers...

This may be happening with PSIX now... Technicals usually lead fundamentals... Stock manipulators know this, and sometimes manufacture an up move to unload stock to people relying only on a technical move... Then, the dump it at or near the top of the price range...

I like to see some positive change in the fundamentals to accompany good chart action... Otherwise, I'm suspicious...

Calling the company can give you a sense about the company and its Mgmt...

Jim
