Hope you read the previous post about EPS cut for AMAT!
"Irrational Fears" or reality of the situation? What is your new
assessment based on the earnings downgrade, now that you
have new information to ponder??

The article did offer some good advice though, one that I have
stated often also.
"Solution: Do your own homework, map out a plan and stick to it"

derek: thanks for the great article on behavioral finance. I'm about half way through reading "Against the Gods, a History of Risk". The idea that people are rational, and all have access to all important facts, and act only based on those facts, seems irrational to me. If it were true, there wouldn't be a need for a stock market. And you couldn't make any more money picking stocks than you could with an index fund.
