Well, Thomas, yes, I am being satirical. I think you would have to read about a day's posts to see that the discussion about homosexuality has put on a party hat since the weekend is coming, and is blowing silly but astute bubbles into the dense fog of illogic surrounding this issue.

Honestly, I do not care whether my daughter is heterosexual or homosexual. I would care if she was not happy, but that is all. And I do hope that I become a grandmother, but really, long live turkey basters!! The wonders of modern conception!! Any woman can become a mother now, without having sex with a man. I do hope she ends up in a loving, stable, committed long-term relationship, no matter who she chooses, because I think that is what makes people the happiest and most secure in their lives. It is also the best for rearing healthy children.

I do expect that she may do some preliminary exploration with other girls, as has always been typical of teenagers. Almost every woman I have known who has been through this stage ends up heterosexual, but with an open mind and an almost universal love and appreciation for female bodies, and female energy. Perhaps these remembrances of glimmers of attraction are part of what makes most women a little more understanding of the continuum sexuality runs along. No one is absolutely heterosexual, or absolutely homosexual, and accepting ourselves as humans first and foremost seems to help with issues of compassion and tolerance in general.
