Hi fellow ATFer's. Am new, but here yo stay. I got in to ATF early and have also learned from being both a hog and a pig. I work in the Natural Gas industry and have been following with great interest. I am staying with ATF until I can fill up at my house. (or work(:)

I have followed lots of threads and this is by far the most informative.

Thank you for your insight and knowledge.

Colin

Peter:

<<Could you please explain how a "critical resistance level", such as your prediction of such a level, at $2.50, is determined? >>

That was not a prediction. It was based on direct observation of where the initial resistance level was being set. The comment was extremely timely and is now history!

The brevity was due to the fact that I was trying to watch the market action, get ready to go to work and post a quick message at the same time.

The reason for the post was that I figured that a lot of people would start to get in a dither when they saw the stock dropping at the open, so I was just trying to throw in a quick bit of advice to help them determine how to react based on their own particular situation. It was actually done quite spontaneously by me. In retrospect, of course I see that the brevity would probably only serve to confuse. However, I see it sparked some interesting discussion so I am happy about that.

Had that support level held, by the way, we might well have turned around and set new highs today (not necessarily). As it turned out, it was broken fairly early in the day, but I didn't know that would happen at the time I posted of course.

Sorry to see the resistance at $2.25 broken late in the day, but overall I think this is healthy for the stock. A run to $3.00 over a 3 day period would have been a lot more convincing and secure than the one day rush up we saw yesterday. Still, can't complain <gggg>.

By the way, I'm no TA expert. Just learning like everyone else.

Regards,
Tom McIlwain

P.S. Chris, I see your questions about support and resistance were answered quite nicely by several others.
