Stockman,,, I almost forgot....

[RE: AMD K6-266 with no motherboards available. He-he-he-he-he.
AMD K6-3D with no software available, and no motherboards available. He-he-he-he-he.]

Here are but a few of the motherboards that "are not available" for the K6-266 and K6-3D:

Abit IT5A ALi
abit.com.tw

Asus Revision 3.0 or later TX-97E and TX-97
asus.com.tw

EPOX EP-58MVP3C-M and soon to be realeased EP-51MVP3E-M
epox.com

FIC VA-503 and soon to be released VA-503+
fic.com.tw

Sorry, didn't have time to post further than A - E of the motherboard alphabet soup. As for the software, I think Microsoft has taken care of that. I don't think Bill Gates wants to be put in the position of being totally dependent on Intel.

Regards,
Buckwheat

Buckwheat,
Re -- I'm curious as to whether there are any motherboards available for the PII 350s and 400s yet.

Nope. They are unannounced products and as such do not have motherboards.

But the "rumors" I hear is that when these chips are officially announced, all of the tier 1 box makers will have/announce systems simulataneously. No there are no MB's for these. He-he-he-he-he

However the same situation applies to the K6-266 too right. I hear these are available in the "tens of thousands" from the SDC lab?.

Wonder how all those motherboard makers are going to recoup their investments in a dead-end socket 7 solution.
