Hi all, Just thought I would share my personal reading for the day. Hope you don't mind me posting it. March 27th "When I consider all the ways God has blessed me, I naturally want to share my love of life with others. And I can by sharing the joy and hope that I feel and the vision of peace I hold in mind and prayer. I share my joy: My happiness is from knowing my oneness with God, spiritual joy that motivates me every day. I encourage my loved ones to trust in Spirit to guide them as well, and I watch as the beauty of self-confidence is realized by them. I share my hope: I give thanks to God for the blessing of loved ones and embrace them in my prayers for wisdom and success. I share my vision of peace: I can forsee a time when all people will be united in love and faith and living in harmony. And with each thought of goodwill toward others, I am sharing my love of life." Dear Warlock: Thank God. Praise God. I knew there was PURE GOLD in you for God to find. I'm not going to run to my Strong's Bible for interpretation, frankly I don't care what he has to say; I don't mean to "shock any of my christian friends" who might say I am being disrespectful to a great man of God. This is straight from the heart. Me to you. So many pastors have given great sermons on the prodigal son. It is the ONLY time in the bible God is depicted, through the father figure, running. The robe is the robe of righteousness, it was purple, a royal color. and it covers nakedness, agression, guilt,humaness,mistakes, bad judgement; put the robe on and God immediately says son you are back home, for you see you originated in heaven and that is your home and home is where your father wants you to return. The ring. The ring. Oh the ring. Often overlooked. When the son would go into town to buy or sell or conduct business or sign a contract. Wax would be dripped on the document and the imprint made with the ring. This ring returned to the son the priveledge to conduct business on behalf of the father........How do I today conduct business for the Father. With the ring it represents "power of attorney" in Jesus name to go about the fathers business. With the power of attorney I can heal you, protect you, bless you,provide for you, invest in your retirement account, provide for your family, your children, sign a writ and have an angel go get a loved one out of trouble, place you in protective custody,pay your doctor bill,or get you enough money to get you out of debt, pay off your credit cards, or make sure you take a much needed vacation. That is the ring. The shoes. Ensure that the son will no longer go back to his mistakes as a dog returns to his vomit. They will lead him down paths of righteousness. The shoes will give him freedom. Mobility. He will no longer have to worry about walking over every bump in life; he can walk proudly and carry himself upright, keep his chin up. Praise God. The fatted calf; represents a sin offering. When somebody sins, somebody has to die to pay the penalty. Now sorry, to delay your question about the second son. Here is the meaning and there are many so I will bring out but a few that I feel are the most important. If you come to the Lord late in your life your eternal rewards will be the same as someone who has been in the Lords "house for many many years". Why you say. They may even be "greater" for surely the Lord will be so happy you have come home. I can almost hear God saying to the faithful son; you don't understand, you don't understand; for someone who has been away from the Lord most of their life, LOOK AT WHAY THEY HAVE MISSED, LOOK AT THE LOST OPPORTUNITIES, THE HAPPINESS they have miseed, THE JOY they have missed ,the BLESSINGS they have missed. And what do you want me to do penalize them for missing out on Blessings. God Forbid. He wants to make up for lost time. He wants to pamper you. Care for you. Be of service to you. Make sure you don't lack for anything. And He also is thinking; there is also a lot I have to teach him because he hasn't been around here enough to learn a lot of the things he will need to know as my son. We are going to have to work on knowledge and education too. But notice the difference in attitude; the stay at home son really didn't understand the Father. In a way His need of the Father was GREATER than the prodigal son. There was a distance that had developed between them. The prodigal son had no motive to criticize his brother, because he was happy just to be alive and be back home, he was grateful, thankful. But there was almost a jealousy that had resurrected with his brother.Did the stay at home son need God just as much. YES. Was his condition just as critical as the condition of the prodigal son when he was in the pig pen? No. Because. He was not lost. But I'll tell you. The Father had His work cut out for him. By the prodigal son coming home things had changed, and the father would have to deal with them both. Is is able ? Oh yes. Will his will be done in both sons. ? Oh yes. Because they are now both in the Fathers House.... God Bless You Warlock. You have Thrilled my soul beyond belief. Your "veins" are rich in Gold. God is the prospector. He knows true value when He sees it. It might be under the surface, but He knows how to bring it out, refine it, smelt it, and then create a treasure in you. Worth more than the universe.
