albert - Re: "demand must be huge, don't you see?"

Yeah - real huge!

Like the HUGE LOSS AMD is about to report!

The "hugher" the demand, the "hugher" the LOSS!

Looking forward to that loss, albert?

Paul

Albert and All,
Stage II - Why did Andy Grove step down from CEO post?

1. All of analysts project Intel earnings growth rate like I posted 1998 (negative growth), 1999 (2% growth) - two years is a long term.

2. Intel buyback 100 million shares program is well-design for Andy's
resignation. In my experience, if Intel did not announce 100 million shares buyback program at the same time of Andy's resignation, I guarantee that Intel stock price dropped at least 5 points in one day. We AMD investors clearly understand Intel's trick.

3. Andy Grove made a lot of mistakes in the past and he does not know how to face the competition era. Here are Andy's confession - "We are too cautious, too small scale, too late," Grove is quoted as saying in the Washington Post. "I regret about Intel - was not aggressive
enough in shaping people's use of high technology." The words - "too late" and "not aggressive" - Is this a admiring leadership of a company in competition era?

4. "unofficial" word on Wall Street is that Intel's board is scared out of their wits at their reddening bottom line and wants a new face "leading" - the company (comments from Mac Rumor site).

Best wishes

James
