Barton, >> The hedge fund manager, Ranjan Tandon, predicts a 5 percent >> DECLINE in PC revenue growth this year. Ranjan Tandon, Who????? Ranjan Tandon. Who????? Ranjan Tandon. From????? From Libra Advisors. Libra what???? Libra Advisors. Oh, that Ranjan Tandon. Since when does we have to use him as a bellwether on the PC-sector. And even more important, why? In the first few weeks after I started investing I also reacted on every article posted on the net. I took every nitwit-analist opinion for serious. It costed me money. Lot's of money. It costed me only one stock to figure this out (CAWS, from 7.875 to 1.875 in a few months.) My next move was buying Dell, and following this thread. Believe me, every single longtime member of this thread (and thus a bull, there are no longtime Dell-bears) knows more of Dell, the PC-sector in general, the competition, their business-model, the outlook, the opportunities, the threads, the price-war, the influence of the Asian flu, inventory problems by competitors etc. than you, Ranjan and the K. bros together. When you followed my advice and went through the history of this thread you would have noticed that every once in a while someone like you enters this thread acting exactly the same as you do. So far they all disappeared with a loss. To use your (very original) metaphor; for me you are just a Candlestick 5.01. >> What a pathetic investor who believes everything a company tells >> him. This thread is full of rich "pathetic" investors. Can you tell what the last quarter was Dell misses estimates. Can you tell what the last quarter was Dell gave a profit-warning. Can you give me one reason why I should believe Ranjan above Dell. BTW I have no problems when you post bear-arguments on this thread. I even appreciate it when you dig up some bearish analist reports. It is your attitude and your misplaced self-confidence. Work on it and at the end everything will be ok. Paul P.S. I just saw that ADBE is one of your favorite stocks. Now I understand why you are so nervous and expecting unpleasant surprises. Don't, Dell is different.
