Buckeye, thanks for the info. IMO, there may be more than one factor that is sending them to delisting. If I am correct, then their lack of market capitalization may have sent them there. I personally don't think the company is worth too much from glancing at a bar chart of their income statements. This is their website with a direct link to the financial page:
atrix.com
Looking at the 10qsb, a very interesting snippet towards the end :
"The Company maintains a line of credit with Riverside Bank. As of December 31,1997, the borrowing base under the line of credit was the lesser of (a)$1,000,000 or (b) the sum of (i) 75% of eligible accounts receivable and (ii)50% of eligible inventory. The Company is also required to maintain tangible net worth of $1,900,000. The line of credit is secured by the Company's assets. The interest rate is at prime. The Company is required to pay accrued interest on a
monthly basis. As of December 31, 1997, the outstanding balance on the line of credit was $840,000 and the remaining borrowing availability was $20,273."

Buckeye,

Here's a site you may be interested in. It identifies the stock and time trading was halted and resumed.

nasdaqtrader.com

It does show AXTI halted at 15:12:63 with a halt code of T2 which is defined as:

Dissemination of News
(News released; NASD in communication with the issuer to determine that release, as carried by news media, is complete and accurate.)

I hope Ira knows what he's doing.

Bill

Thanks Buckeye. Since the outstanding shares is 1,413,000 and the float is 800,000 then over 50% is publicly traded. I wish the percentage in the public float was higher but that may be enough for FAMH to force their hand. I would expect ATXI stock to plummet on Monday since their denial was so vociferous.

thanks again and later, leroyt

Good Saturday afternoon everyone,

Well, what a thread this has become. I have not posted in a while, but I have a few thoughts to impart.

Just food for thought,
The following was the snippet from Firamada's news release:

<<<<The letter of mutual intent have been submitted to Atrix directors for approval, Firamada said>>>>

This is the snippet from Atrix's press release:

>>>>>Steven D. Riedel, Atrix International's President and Chief Executive Officer did confirm that the Company has had discussions with individuals claiming to represent Firamada, but he characterized those discussions as preliminary. ''The release by Firamada and/or its representatives claiming to have reached an agreement to acquire Atrix International is inaccurate, and misleading,'' Riedel stated. >>>>>

My point is this, could Firamada be in negotiations with the directors and possibly a large shareholder (re Buckeye's post), and the president of Atrix is not involved?? As he will probably be out of a job should this merger go through, maybe this press release was a knee jerk reaction on his part. It has been know to have happened that presidents and vice presidents don't know what the board is sometimes doing. Also, the premise that the company could be sold to this large shareholder says it all to me. My one question on this deal was what happens to Atrix's business dealings?? But Buckeye answered it in his post # 8754. . Call it what you will, this is a power play by Firamada to gain control of Atrix. After they do, it will be resold to someone. This is not that unusual. It happens between businesses quite often.

As I have stated in the past, patience is a virtue. Now my patience as of late has been very , very short. As a matter of fact I sold half my position a couple of weeks ago. But I chose (my decision, no one else's), to hold the rest. So, I will sit back and wait to see what the principals work out. Since there is nothing I can do to change any of this, what choice do I have? It will all come out eventually.

There are a number of people on this thread that I respect and will read their posts with much interest. There are also a number whom I chose to press the next button on. This is a stock thread, pure and simple, not a fun and games thread, and certainly not a personal abuse thread. There are threads on SI for fun, and threads to vent on. This thread is for discussion and opinions of the stock named Firamada.

So, I will go back now to reading posts, posting stock talk on stock threads, posting fun stuff on fun threads, and listening to both sides of all issues, as long as they make sense. I hope, ladies and gentlemen, that you will all do the same.

Thank you for allowing me this time, and I hope the negotiations, which I agree with Omni are probably going on this weekend, will work out to the benefit of all stockholders involved.

Just keep smiling,
Redhead
