Good point. I think companies are afraid of all the questions that knowledgeable, and not so knowledgeable small investors might ask on a conference call. Noted that cpq has 23,000 investors and 32,000 employees the other day. If 20% of the investors got on the conference call, I wonder how many questions would be asked. I also wonder how emotionally stable some of the questions might be in the face of bad news. I would like to hear the conference call at the very least. That would solve the problem. I don't like the closed door meeting. The second hand information always has some spin on it.
