I can't believe this post.... ie, an analyst upgrades a stock because he wants the stock to go up... and downgrades it when he wants it to go down... unbelievable... are you on a serious playing field here? is this a serious evaluation of an integral component of the marketplace? "gee, I think I want the price of this stock to go up, so I'll upgrade it..."... you cant be serious... if you were joking, then I"m the fool... if not, I hope you do more analysis of situations and facts before you put your money down on something...

All,

I am not an analyst, however, i found this discussion strange. Analysts
make reccos only after they have completed their position in the stock. No wonder, to us individual investors it seems late. For
eg. if an analyst finds a bargain trading at pe of 5 with a growth rate of 20% etc. etc., guess what he/she will do first. They will buy as much as they want which will drive the price a little and only then will they announce this gem in their reccos to the general public.
