Emile, Both of the posts I received from you and Shalom were a blessing. God knows every hair on your head and every sparrow that falls to the ground. So he certainly knows your situation. I've recently begun to ponder this and what the idea's application is to my life. I used to believe He was more of distant God, but after studying the Word, I've realized that He isn't very distant at all. And of course, He knows all. YOur roomates need the gift of Jesus that is withing your heart. They may not act as if they are tortured by the darkness of their sins but they are. Thanks for reminding of this point. I try to put myself in other people's shoes, but I rarely end up doing it. I forget that the Holy Spirit is on my side when witnessing to my friends and constantly try to go my own route. Just this attitude of love towards them while they are yet in their sins can open the door of their hearts. This love must never be confused with participation in their sins. It is when we refuse to participate in their sins, darkness and lies but continue to love them in an uncompromising Christlike manner. It is all a matter of the condition of our hearts. What is in the heart will come out. May God show you His will in the matter. Amen! I often feel like I can never understand Christ's love for us fully, but I pray constantly to be able to. Having more of a thinking-type personality, I can come off cold and calculating more than I like even when I feel love in my heart. Yet another BIG thing I need Christ's help to do!
