*Off Topic* - Fred, thanks for the update. I remember when they updated their schedule in Jan or Feb when they said Beta II was Q2, that they said final release would be "6 to 9 months after that". At the time, that put it 1st Q '99. There were more problems since then which caused the InfoWorld update to say the release "slips to Q2". I also know not to believe everything I read. MSFT certainly can pull a rabbit out of its hat when it has to, but its OS releases have historically been off their delivery dates by a factor measured in years. I've heard the newly shipping windows FAT32 file system that facilitates huge drives is causing compatibility problems and NT can't read it. I'd like to be back in MSFT before 5.0 comes out but I'd rather miss it than get back in this early for my tastes.

thanks again,
Tom

>>What they do say is that beta II is suppose to be released in Q2 of this year and that they expect this to be the last beta version

It won't be the last Beta version. They may issue it and call it 5.0, but in my experience __every__ MSFT x.0 is really a beta version. <vbrg>. And yes, I do own MSFT.
