Also note there are different accounting rules for bookkeeping (i.e., financial statement presentation) and tax accountting. Comments/Regards

According to SI profile of MRVC, there were 28.4 million shares outstanding on 12/31/97. I looked at Zacks today and it shows 26.6 million shares outstanding. I just want to point out the difference (a 6.3% drop), even if it's considered insignificant (is it?) Zacks also lists Institution ownership at 41.50%, Insiders at 25.21% (don't know how often Zacks updates this kind of stuff). That leaves little guys with no more than 33.3%. (I own 0.0015%. Not that anyone should care.)
