Hi Bernie and Bruce, Speaking of IRAs.......

At the page shown below I've included the entire 6 years of history of my friend's IRA AIM account. You'll get a good feel for how well the VEALIES have worked over time with these graphs.

Chuck has about 15 more years that this account can build before he retires. Since it doubled in the first 5 years, should we assume it will double three more times? :-) If so, it should help to keep my friend in cigars and green fees!!

Chuck has continued to contribute to another IRA account using Twinvest. He also has a SEP IRA to which he regularly contributes. Let's hope all the Baby Boomers have been as good at saving!!

Best regards, Tom

Hi Bernie-

I've been swamped with the last of the problems and setup of the new computer, so I haven't done my homework yet, but I see from your example what you're getting at about the taxes. I assume that the numbers vary a little depending on whether or not the contributions were excluded from gross income, but all the gains and unexcluded contributions would be taxed. Thanks for putting this together.

So is the bowling tourney over yet? How did you finish?

Bruce
