Jim, Personally it would be worth several hundred dollars to me to have a better name on any computer I would buy. What is the warranty being offered on this "deal"?

JP, I wouldn't 'rush' to buy any Acer! While it is true that they have been around awhile, their mark is still in the 'trying to make it!' mode. I have priced them out a couple of times, but don't you think that those buying on price alone will buy a CPQ instead? I think that Acer is responding to that pressure, rather than trying to build a great computer for the best price, as with DELL (and GTW, now don't you all 'bite' me here!). Just a thought, Ken

And, Jim P., just how good is Best Buy's on-site warranty? Or, oops, do they even have one?
