Although the end of the month is not here yet, I suspect that the number of members of AOL does not increase as much as AOL anticipates (or even it could decrease). But considering Bob Pittman super salesmanship would he announce bad news? In addition, who is going to audit the numbers. This is not print media where the number of circulation is audited.

YHOO will be AOL killer since the market of YHOO is more for generation X while AOL has baby boomers and high school kids who like plug the internet the easy way. Yahoo is trendier for gen X (just yell Yahoooo) with T-shirt, baseball caps etc. Now with MCI as a partner and $ 14.95 vs $ 21.95, migration from AOL should start soon if not already. Remember that April 1st $ 2/month increase of AOL kicks in.

Mike

What ever happened to AOL's monthly announcements of "Number of new members added this month"?

I was wondering the same thing, could it be that the numbers
are not that good ? Knowing AOL they can always fudge the numbers.
