With due respect, Jeff, how extensive have you been using Etrade to come to that conclusion? I have been using 3 brokerages (including Etrade) quite a bit over a period of years and let me assure you that Etrade is easily the most unreliable. To make matter worse, they repeatedly failed to take responsibility. To be fair, I agree that from time to time the customers' ISPs are to be blamed (and I have indirectly pointed that out in my previous posts). Also, Etrade seems to have improved a bit lately. Because of my lack of confidence in Etrade, I avoid using it.
