Zoltan, it would work, but the WH Press Office and its "affiliates" are counting on winning the Jones suit at trial. That allows them to make the argument to the public "look, we went into a court of law and we were exonerated. That speaks for itself. That ends the matter."...

...even though a judgement for Clinton does not prove anything whatsoever about whether the allegations of Jones and Willey or the incidents discussed on the Lewinsky tapes are factually correct, because as I understand it it's possible that the jury could both believe that the incidents alleged by Jones and Willey are true AND still return a not-guilty verdict.

I think it's possible that if it goes to trial and the jury decides in Clinton's favor, you may be seeing jury members on Larry King explaining their votes in a manner that totally undermines the strategy the WH has been laying out.
