ATLANTA, March 31 /PRNewswire/ -- UPS announced today that it has formed a strategic alliance with PeopleSoft, Inc., to create the first electronic commerce solution to integrate shipping and logistics within enterprise planning for supply chain management. The new software will link the technologies of both companies to provide seamless, real-time, critical transaction and information management solutions through a customer's own central business systems. The new integration between PeopleSoft and UPS software will combine the shipping, tracking and distribution management applications of UPS OnLine Host Access and UPS OnLine Professional with PeopleSoft's Order Management software.
