Ron, ok, here goes--hopefully this post will spur others to share methodologies and we'll all learn something.

I scan for stocks whose close is higher than the close for each of the prior 3 days, and whose volume exceeds its 10 day moving average. I also look to see positive Chaikin money flow and OBV higher than its 21 day moving average. Finally, I look for stocks above their 50 and 200 day simple moving average. I limit price to up to $20, just because the bigger percentage movers tend to be in this range. This is all done with Quotes Plus, and it gives me about 50 hits a night. I then download into Metastock, and look at each chart, focusing on a number of StochRSI and Stochastic indicators that I've saved to my default template that I like to follow. Upon this review, there are usually about a half a dozen stocks that look really good.

Now that I've shared my approach, how about sharing yours? Any lurkers who would also like to share approaches/thoughts would be welcome.

Good trading,

Jan
