There should be no significant difference buying mutual funds on first or last day of quarters. There has been a rush of money coming in the beginning of each month from pension plans, etc. Mutual funds should be considered long term investments and day to day fluctuations aren't relevant. i have tried timing mutual funds and would have done better just buying and holding. larry
