And however reprehensible this might be on the part of their parents, to send their children to school without a nourishing breakfast, it makes no sense to me to make the children pay. As a society these children truly are our future. When we are in nursing homes, they will be taking care of us. Their wages will pay our social security- if there is any for us. So from a purely selfish perspective we should do our best by the young people in this country.
