Netscape Teams with Oracle to Enable Internet-Based Commerce Transactions
Between Companies

Netscape(R) CommerceXpert Now Integrated With Oracle(R) Applications So Customers Can Leverage the
Internet For Cross-Company Supply Chain Integration

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., March 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Netscape Communications Corporation (Nasdaq: NSCP - news) and Oracle
Corporation (Nasdaq: ORCL - news) today announced that Netscape's leading line of Internet commerce software, including Netscape(R)
ECXpert 1.1, Netscape BuyerXpert, and Netscape SellerXpert, have received Oracle(R) Cooperative Applications Initiative (CAI)
program integration approval with Oracle(R) Applications. Customers running their businesses on Oracle Applications, including Oracle
Financials(R) and Oracle Distribution, can now leverage the Netscape CommerceXpert family of Internet commerce applications to hook
multiple back office systems together with partners, resellers, distributors and customers for cross-company supply chain integration.

Netscape ECXpert integration with Oracle Applications lets customers leverage their existing Oracle Applications to conduct
business-to-business online commerce over the Internet and EDI networks. For example, users of Oracle Applications can now use
Netscape ECXpert to exchange business transactions such as forecasts and purchase orders. Users receive purchase orders via encrypted
email or a Web page and then process them directly with the appropriate Oracle Order Entry module. Similarly, companies using Netscape
SellerXpert for business-to-business online selling can leverage Netscape ECXpert to send fulfillment requests to an Oracle Manufacturing
module.

''Oracle Applications users and their customers will now be able to manager their trading relationships and Web-based Electronic Data
Interchange (EDI) transactions through this tested, integrated solution, allowing them to save time and money in implementation and
maintenance, while enabling competitive advantage and expanded business opportunity,'' said Marc Hebert, vice president of Alliance
Technical Services at Oracle.

''Integration approval of the Netscape CommerceXpert products with Oracle Applications is a huge win for Oracle and Netscape
customers who need to streamline business transactions with their trading partners,'' said Steve Savignano, senior vice president and general
manager of the Applications Product Division at Netscape. ''Customers can now take the robust business capabilities of Oracle
Applications an important step further, to manage electronic business transactions beyond the boundaries of their business.''
