I've always liked white myself. Little do they know that I would pay extra for white.

Of course the good thing about white is that they make that touch up paint. I think nothing sets off a kitchen quite like a tastefully done touch up job.

As to woods, well I am particularly partial to natural oak. No faux oaks please. Nothing shouts "good cooking found here" quite like oak paneling.

Now counter tops. I visited a home once where they had just put in a formica counter top. To save on scarring the counter top, they explained that had a cutting board made. Extremely good sense, I thought, until I turned to see that they had covered the cutting board in matching formica.

But I guess counter tops, wall coloring and floor color should really be left to another discussion. Ohhh, don't get me started. And appliances, large and small, well . . .
