Texas Instruments To Sell Computer Integrated Mfg Unit

LOS ANGELES (Dow Jones)--Gores Technology Group, a California investment firm that
specializes in acquiring and managing software, signed a definitive agreement to acquire certain
assets of Texas Instruments Inc.'s (TXN) Computer Integrated Manufacturing unit.

Terms weren't disclosed.

In a press release Monday, Gores said it will acquire Texas Instruments ControlWorks business,
Works development organization, and other WorkScell associated products.

ControlWorks is equipment control software used in semiconductor wafer manufacturing
equipment.

The company expects to complete the transaction by the end of April, subject to customary closing
conditions.

Texas Instruments is a global semiconductor company.
