Speaking of which, I once had to write a translator program to move all of a company's Object Pascal programs into C++. This was trivial, because the syntax of Pascal is so straightforward, as is the parser, if you know what I mean! (Compiler in-joke, folks. Sorry. ;-)

You couldn't do C to Pascal so easily.

I think in France they have French words for begin and end, don't they?

And yes, we mostly agree. However, you have to admit that Mr Ray was not *completely* out of line thinking better languages might come along. Though there may be some older conversation between you two that I was unaware of.
