This was trivial, because the syntax of Pascal is so straightforward, as is the parser, if you know what I mean! (Compiler in-joke, folks. Sorry. ;-) You couldn't do C to Pascal so easily. I think in France they have French words for begin and end, don't they? And yes, we mostly agree. However, you have to admit that Mr Ray was not completely out of line thinking better languages might come along. Though there may be some older conversation between you two that I was unaware of.
