Matt,

Voice IT announces termination of letter of intent to merge with AVRI.

biz.yahoo.com

This doesn't look good for AVRI. I spoke with Mike Irving, last week, and he spoke very highly of this company and their products. He even asked to contact their Marketing department and setup an onsite visit. Unfortunately, I have been very busy at work and haven't been able to setup the visit. Anyway, I am kind of curious about the latest announcement.

Hey Mike any thoughts ?

MATT:
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I just had a great conference call with the CEO of AVRI this morning. The deal with MEMO expired on the 31st. AVRI, after extensive due diligence, thought that the joint venture agreement was better for shareholders. In fact, you would think that this news would drive the stock higher because of no dilution. AVRI has a great news release coming out next week, that should show how fast they are moving toward their national rollout. After reading an article in Information Week, that was reprinted from November of 1997, that quotes the head of Voice Technology for IBM as saying that AVRI has the best voice platform out there today, I am convinced that AVRI should soon be a huge success.
