I haven't kept up with assembly -- the last I did was on a Z80! Are you telling me that it takes 2 instructions to load a 32-bit address and there is no single instruction to load the full 32 bits? But even with 2 instructions, can't Pentiums do this in parallel, so that no extra clock cycles are required?
